My dear Genl-

Dr Reilly has been to see me & states that you desire certain reports etc with reference to the Gettysburg campaign - As the Dr was not very clear as to what you wanted exactly - I thought I would drop you a line + hear from yourself in what way I could assist you. I shall be only to glad to furnish you with copies of anything I may have, that you need.

The Dr mentioned something about Birneys report, I have a report of Birney as Division Com, for that time - no one ever made any report as Comdg the 3d Corps - + in sending to the Comte de Paris- copies of the Corps Comdrs - reports at his Request - I sent the reports of Birney + Humphreys as the Division Comdrs.- I was sorry to hear there was any difference of opinion between yourself + Genl. Hancock - Do you ever see the Phila Weekly times? Some two weeks ago - they published an article by Osborne - "The Arty at Gettysburg" referring however to the 11th Corps Arty - I should be glad to send it to you if you have not seen it -
