Chicago Ill. June 20th, 1879
My Dear Hunt,
I am obliged for your letter & enclosure. I have no objection to the use of my name in any way you see fit. Although I am a warm personal friend of Genl. Hancock, still I must say you were and are (right?).
My recollection of all those Battles and the arrangements made by you and myself to meet all emergencies in the campaigns, particularly that of the (?) pennsylvania in which, the Battle of Gettysburg was fought, are very clear and vivid.
Yours Truly
Rufus Ingalls
